GENERAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE MEETING
MAY 25, 2023
A General Government Committee meeting of the City Council of Vinton, Iowa was held on the 25th day of May, 2023 at 6:00pm in the City Hall Council Chambers, Vinton, Iowa. The following committee members were present: Pflughaupt, Stark and Gates. Council Members Elwick & Hessenius, City Administrator Ward, Code Enforcement Hansen and Mayor Maynard were also present.
Administrator Ward presented the committee with a sample floodplain management ordinance that was designed to meet the minimum requirements for acceptance in the National Flood Insurance Program. The committee reviewed the ordinance for ensure compatibility with existing community administration, policies and practices. Ward will update the draft and present at an upcoming meeting.
No council action was taken.
