The Vinton brush and compost yard is available for the disposal of yard waste for the residents of Vinton. You can drop off grass clippings, branches and other yard waste. You may also pick up compost for use in your yard and garden as needed.
The yard is located across the Cedar River on highway 150 North. It is the 3rd right turn when heading North after crossing the Cedar River bridge.

**Brush, grass clippings, branches and other yard waste ONLY. No construction materials, metal, or general trash. Inappropriate materials found in the yard may result in closure and denial of use.
The brush dump is closed as necessary when the water is high or for other reasons. Please obey all posted signs.
