PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING
AUGUST 24, 2023
A public safety committee meeting of the City Council of Vinton, Iowa was held on the 24th day of August, 2023 at 6:30pm in City Hall Council Chambers, Vinton, Iowa. The following committee members were present: Hessenius, Gates, Parmater. Council member Elwick and Mayor Maynard were also present.
Committee members reviewed no parking zones and stop sign placement recommended by Street Superintendent Scott Meyer. The no parking zones would be extended based on the existing ordinances.
Committee members also discussed the request for no parking zones to be added along Riverview Drive. After lengthy discussion, the recommendation was to make no change at this time.
The recommendation will be presented to the full Council at the next meeting.
